Hello everyone !

Last month was the last hop of the Collected Crafty Collabs Hop Blog I was part of. The purpose of this hop was to discover new crafters blogs while making projects with supplies we don’t use enough.

This hop was initiated by four friends : Anna, Karen, Marie and V. aka the Squirrels Sisters.

During those months we learn to know each other better and I have the pleasure to do an other Blog Hop with those little rodents this year. I am happy to be now an honorary squirrel with Boryana and Natasha

This hop is called the Squirrels Gone Nutz and we will keep about the same principle. Each month we will have to make a project with supplies we don’t use enough. There will be a theme and/or a technique and type of supply. This month it’s “New” and “leftovers”.

So welcome to the new hoppers and for my regular viewers, thank you for stopping by today!

For the theme I decided to create my card around “new beginning” and I though the “blooming” of a flower it’s a nice representation of that.

So I choose to use this beautiful flower stamp I barely used. I stamped it with my No Line Ink on 3 inkpad and colored it with my Copics. I fussy cut it.

For the rest of the card I decided to use some of my papers leftovers. First I cut 4 squares with my stitched dies into Centura Pearl papers. Then, I took little pieces of pattern papers I kept aside and I cut different stripes. I glued them onto the mink squares. I also took the leftovers of the brown paper I just used and cut some stripes.

I really like the result of those new backgrounds created with all that pieces, and I think I will use this technique more often !

I matted and layered the two big squares and the two small ones and I put foams behind the small square and the flower.

For the inside of the card, I write my sentiment with a brush pen and I stamped a flower which is part of the same set as the main flower.

Le mois dernier avait lieu le dernier Collected Crafty Collabs Hop Blog dont je faisais partie.

Le but de ce “Hop” était de découvrir d’autres blogs de crafters tout en créant des projets avec du matériel que l’on a trop peu utilisé. Tous les mois, il y avait un thème et un matériel optionnel.

Ce hop a été initialement mis en place par Anna, Karen, Marie et V. aussi surnommées les sœurs écureuils.

J’ai le plaisir cette année de refaire un hop blog avec ces quatre petites rongeuses et d’être nommée avec Boryana et Natasha “écureuils honoraires” .

Ce nouveau hop appelé “the Squirrels Gone Nutz” conserve grosso modo le même principe. Il y aura un thème ainsi qu’une technique et/ou un matériel à utiliser pour faire un projet une fois par mois. Ce mois-ci le thème était “nouveau” et “reste”.

Pour ce thème, j’ai décidé de partir sur le concept de “nouveau commencement” et j’ai trouvé que l’éclosion d’une fleur collait parfaitement avec cela.

J’ai décidé d’utiliser cette jolie fleur dont je me suis très peu servie. Je l’ai tamponnée avec mon encre faite pour le coloriage sans ligne et je l’ai coloriée avec mes Copics. Je l’ai découpée avec mes ciseaux.

Pour le reste de la carte, j’ai tout d’abord découpé avec des matrices quatre carrés dans mes papiers Centura Pearl. J’ai ensuite décidé d’utiliser des morceaux de papiers qu’il me restait d’une précédente utilisation. J’ai découpé des bandes de différentes largeurs que j’ai collées sur mes carrés de couleurs bronze. J’ai également découpé des bandes dans le reste de papier marron que je venais d’utiliser.

J’ai vraiment beaucoup aimé cette technique et je pense que je la referai plus souvent !

Ensuite, j’ai superposé et collé mes carrés par tailles puis j’ai ajouté de la mousse adhésive derrière la fleur et le plus petit carré et j’ai collé le tout.

Pour l’intérieur de la carte, j’ai écris avec un crayon pinceau mon message et j’ai tamponné une fleur du même set que la fleur principale.

Et voilà !
