Hello everyone !
Welcome to our monthly hop blog called the Squirrels Stash bash.

Our main concept is simple : we have to make a project with supplies we don’t use enough. Each month we have a theme and a technique, sketch or type of supply to use to make our project.
This month the theme was Spring and the technique was stamping or die cutting along the edge.

So welcome to the new hoppers and for my regular viewers, thank you for stopping by today!
This month, I am getting the ball rolling and after me, I invite you to hop to the super talented V.

For this month project, I decided to use this beautiful flower layering stamp from Crafter’s Companion. I never had the chance to use it for a project until now and thought a flower as main focus would work for a spring theme card.
I also used one of my first die . It’s an edge’able die which was given with my Gemini Junior machine. I didn’t’ use it for ages so I was happy to play with it again.
First, I cut a 4.25″ x 8 3/4″ (10.8 cm x 22.2 cm) rectangle into white cardstock. Then, I put my die at one end and die cut it. I scored it at 5 1/4″ (13.3 cm).

Then, I used my Clearly Besotted Basic Spots stencil with my LDRS Grape Ape inkpad into white cardstock. I cut a rectangle into it and a stripe. I glued my dotted panel on the inside of the card and the strip on the front.

I also cut a purple strip and glued it on my dotted panel.

Finally, for the main piece of my card, I stamped my flower. The first layer was inked with my LDRS La La Lavender and the second with my Grape Ape. I did the same thing for my leaves : first layer with my Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and the second with my Mowed Lawn.
I used the coordinate dies to cut the flower and the leaves.

I glued them on the front of my card.

I cut a purple rectangle and matted and layered it with my card.

Et voilà !
May the craft be with you !

Beautiful card, Lounon and what a great way to use those stashed supplies! Love the dotted background, I thought it’s a patterned paper 😀
