Hello everyone !
It’s time for our last Squirrels Stash bash hop blog of the year!
Our main concept is simple : we have to make a project with supplies we don’t use enough. Each month we have a theme and a technique, sketch or type of supply to use to make our project.
This month the theme was Winter/Holidays/New year and since it’s a busy period for everyone we decide, for the technique/supply to let everyone chose the one they want from our list.
So welcome to the new hoppers and for my regular viewers, thank you for stopping by today!
If you are hopping, this month I am getting the ball rolling and after me, I invite you to hop to Marie’s blog .

Full disclosure, usually I make my project according to the theme/supply of the month but this time it was during the creation of my project that I realized it could perfectly fit our hop . I made these cups for a lady to celebrate the Holidays / New Year so the theme was respected and I browsed our technique list and was delighted to find that “3D” was in it ! Was I using products I didn’t use enough ? Yes ! Sold !

For the project itself I decided to used the 3D Hot Cocoa Mug Silhouette file. I kept the original design, except that I glued strips of brown paper on the inside of the chocolate/chantilly parts to ease the opening /closing : I wanted the lid to keep its shape.
I used Dusty Pink and Bronze pearlescent cardstocks for the base of the cup and the saucer. For the panels, I used foiled papers from my Sara Signature paper stash and I find a cream specialty textured paper perfect for the chantilly.
For the chocolate/coffee parts, I cut them into thick brown cardstock. I splattered it with pearlescent white and brown inks.

I put all the parts together, filled the cup with chocolates et voilà !
May the craft be with you !

Products used :
–Lori Whitlock 3D Hot Cocoa Mug Silhouette file
-Dust Pink and Bronze cardstocks

It was serendipity that your gift fit the theme! This turned out gorgeous!!! The pearlescent splatters on the lid was the perfect touch too! I bet this is even prettier IRL where you can appreciate all the shimmer from the pearl paper and watercolor. I’m sure your friend loved the gift!!!
