Ernestine and Valentine just got married ! After a big celebration with all their friends, it’s time for the honeymoon ! First step : leaving the North Pole !
Hello everyone !
It’s time for the first Squirrels Stash bash hop blog of the year!
Our main concept is simple : we have to make a project with supplies we don’t use enough. Each month we have a theme and a technique, sketch or type of supply to use to make our project.
This month the theme was Love/Friendship and the technique was ink blending.
So welcome to the new hoppers and for my regular viewers, thank you for stopping by today!
If you are hopping, you should come from the blog of Karen, and after me I invite you to hop to Marie’s blog .

For this month hop, I decided to make a cute shaker tag. The products I used for my projects are sets I really loved as soon as I saw them. But being reasonable I waited months before buying them and I took advantage of the last Black Friday sales. I had so much fun using them for the first time to make my tag !

First, I stamped my two adorable penguins ( I added a bow on the right one) from the Sunny Studio Passionate Penguin Stamp set onto Xpress-it blending card. I colored them with my markers and fussy cut them.
I also cut my arch from the Mama Elephant Arch Snow Globe – Creative Cuts onto Neenah White solar cardstock. I colored the tree and the ground parts with my markers.

I also cut the plain arch onto Neenah White Solar cardstock. I inked it with my Pawsitively Saturated Ink Pad Guava, Watermelon and Cherry. I splattered Cherry ink and water on it with a brush.
After that, I used my Creative Expressions Snowfall DL Stencil with my Ranger Texture Paste Opaque Matte.
I embossed the front arch with my Spellbinders Knock on Wood embossing folder. At first, as you can see on the photo I went for a pink arch but I decided at the end to have a brown one, so I used brown paper with my embossing folder.

I needed depth for the shaker part but instead of using foam pads, I decided to cut my arch multiple times onto cornflakes boxes, I squirrel away. I inked the top one with my Watermelon inkpad and glued them together.
I glued my arches on the plain inked one. I glued, my snow and my tree. I added hearts and snow sequins.
I die cut an arch onto acetate and glued it behind my brown arch. I glued my arch on the rest of the tag.
After that, I cut a strip for the bottom of my arch onto pink patterned paper. I glued it on my tag and glued my penguins.
Finally, I cut the little tab and inked it in pink. I glued it on my tag and added brown twines.
Et voilà !
May the craft be with you !
