Hello everyone !
It’s time for the Squirrels Stash bash hop blog of the month!
Our main concept is simple : we have to make a project with supplies we don’t use enough. Each month we have a theme and a technique, sketch or type of supply to use to make our project.
This month the theme was Nature/ Flowers and the supply was alcohol ink.
So welcome to the new hoppers and for my regular viewers, thank you for stopping by today!
If you are hopping, this time I am getting the ball rolling and after me I invite you to hop to V.’s blog .

Full disclosure, I really needed this “alcohol ink” theme because I bought Ranger alcohol inks a while ago, really wanted to try them but always waited for the “perfect moment” and surprise surprise…it never came ! So finally, I tried them… and loved it ! I had so much fun ! I will definitely play with them again soon !
For today’s card I used various products I never used before ! And I got a little carried away and realized once I was done that my interpretation of the Nature/Flowers theme..was..let’s say… stretchable. But hey, butterflies are definitely associate with nature and flowers, aren’t they ?
First, I played with my alcohol inks and made various backgrounds on Yupo paper.
I foiled one of the piece with my Pinkfresh Studio Butterflies hot plate and die cut it with the coordinate die. I also used the die onto thick white cardstock and glued my inked butterfly on it to make it sturdier.
After that, I used the Concord and 9th Pinwheel Quilt Top dies onto white cardstock. I stamped my sentiment form the Pinkfresh Studio Butterflies stamp set with my watermark pad and embossed it with my Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder.
I used the stitched square dies from the set to cut small triangles onto one of my alcohol ink panel.
I glued the triangles on the white stitched panel and matted and layered it with a bigger gold rectangle.
Finally, I glued my butterfly on my card with foam pads.
Et voilà !
May the craft be with you !

This is absolutely stunning Lounon!! The alcohol ink colors are so vibrant! wow!
